Yes — the cabin sits on private land with plenty of space and natural surroundings. While there are a few homes in the broader area, it feels quiet and removed.
Serenity House is a private, creekside retreat on 5 acres designed for rest, connection, and a slower pace. It’s quiet, secluded, and intentionally not a typical “in-town” stay.
We’re located in Florissant, Colorado — about:
- 15 minutes to Paradise Cove (Guffey Gorge)
- 25 minutes to Cripple Creek
- 20 minutes to Florissant Fossil Beds
- About 1 hour from Colorado Springs
Yes, but it is in a rural mountain area. The final stretch includes a dirt road, which is common for properties like this.
County-maintained roads make access straightforward, and most vehicles do just fine. In winter, AWD/4WD may provide extra peace of mind, depending on conditions.
Cell service is minimal — part of what makes the property feel so peaceful. However, most phones support WiFi calling when connected to our Starlink network, so you can still make calls and stay connected if needed.
Yes — we provide Starlink WiFi, which works well for general use, streaming, and staying connected if needed.
Yes — the kitchen includes cookware, utensils, basic spices, and essentials to prepare meals during your stay.
There is no traditional A/C. The mountain climate stays mild, especially in the evenings, and fans are provided.
The home has multiple levels and stairs, and the surrounding terrain is natural and uneven, so it may not be ideal for those with mobility limitations.
Yes — this is part of the experience. Guests often see deer, birds, and other wildlife. Occasionally, you may encounter insects or other natural elements of a mountain environment.
Yes — the creek is easily accessible and a highlight of the property. There’s a small pebble beach with a picnic bench and chairs, perfect for relaxing, exploring, or letting kids play.
Check-in is between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Full arrival instructions will be provided after booking.
No — Serenity House is a peaceful, no-party environment intended for quiet stays.
Yes — you can check availability and book directly through our website. Many guests choose to book direct for a simpler experience and returning guest perks.
You’ll receive a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking. After that, a 50% refund is available if you cancel at least 7 days before check-in.
The nearest full grocery stores are in Woodland Park or Canon City. There are also smaller grocery options in Cripple Creek and Divide, and a convenience store (Evergreen Station) about 15 minutes away.
There is a washer and dryer available for light use. Because the home is on a well, we ask guests to use it sparingly.
Smoking is allowed outside only. Due to dry conditions and wildfire risk, we ask guests to be extremely cautious and dispose of materials properly.
Yes — from hiking and swimming at Paradise Cove to exploring Cripple Creek and the Florissant Fossil Beds. We also provide a list of local recommendations.
